This site is dedicated to helping people that are looking for answers, suggestions, tips, ideas, and general knowledge regarding the transformation from male to female. My name is Ana Mancini and I felt compelled to publish this website and share my life and experiences because I have been very blessed. It is my hope to make your transformation journey easier, more understandable and I want to offer a helping hand. It is very important during this transformation to have someone there in your corner that has experienced the same things you are going through.
I was very fortunate as a young boy to have great advice from other transsexual girls. Without the advice, pointers, suggestions, tips, etc provided to me by these ladies my transition may have gone much harder.
I am very much aware of the questions, ideas, and thoughts running through your mind during this critical time in your life. As a very happy transgendered girl I feel I can offer you a shoulder to lean on.
This website has a couple of functions. First, I want to offer you my personal experiences and points of views. Secondly, I want us to come together as a community and help one another. Make no mistake, it can be hard enough for some to just make the decision to become a transgendered person, having a strong community that shares experiences, and views can go along way.
I also offer personal coaching for those of you that feel you would prefer one-on-one help.

Fact is, you are who you are and if people cannot accept you for it, then you must eliminate them from you life. I make this sound easier said then done. Sometimes we are talking about family here. I was very fortunate in that my family, everyone one down from my dad and mom to my siblings, love me for who I am and would not want to change me. Unfortunately, many of you are not that blessed.
Life is short and YOU must be happy. There are over six billion people in this world and I am sure you can find a couple of hundred thousand that will love you for you. We all live in our little comfort bubbles and I am no exception. When you know what you want, knowing who you are can show the world that nothing can stop you, and this will force the people around you to accept you.
Make sure you are truly a transgender and are ready to take on this responsibility; it will be difficult at times. I always knew I wanted to be a woman from seven years old. I was always attracted to feminine things, always wanted to wear makeup. I never put a title on it. I would wear my moms’ clothes in private. I never had doubts that I wanted to be a woman. From my own experience, you are going to want everything very quick. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT! Everything will come to you, if you are committed, with time and at the right moment.
You have to have a plan with a solid foundation. You never start building the roof. You build the house from the ground up. You have to take very planed steps and sometimes they are baby steps.
When you are 100% sure that you want to make the transformation and want to live as a woman full time it is very, very important to have a good friend with a POSITIVE attitude. One of the reasons I am doing this site is for all of us to share support. Unfortunately there can be a lot of jealousy in our community and it is so important for us to pull together and support one another. You absolutely, positively must get away fast from negative people that tell you that you cannot do this or that you will never be beautiful or tell you that you can never be that gorgeous. Feel free to contact me if you ever have these doubts because it simply is not true. You can, and you will be whom you want! Surround yourself with people that care about you.
Start with hormone treatment; it is very, very important. In my before and after pictures you can see a very distinct change in me just by taking hormones (before surgery). Hormones make a BIG difference.
When I started with the transition my friend told me that hormones were very important and recommended that I take shots of delestrogen.
Because I was so impatient and desperate to look feminine and beautiful I was taking two shots a week every week. That is too much. Don’t go crazy, because the body can only take so much anyway and you are paying for delestrogen that you will just end up urinating out. . .LOL.
I highly recommend that you go to a competent doctor and get professional advice regarding this subject. I realize that there are different opinions, you receive friendly advice etc. but you must understand that all of us have different genetics. What is right for one person may be very harmful to another. Get a professional opinion.
There is another hormone called Perlutal that is known in South and Central America. Perlutal is a birth control shot that women take. So you can imagine it has a lot of estrogen. I tried this and my legs swelled like crazy and I ate like a pig. I gained like ten pounds. Again, this was my experience you may have different results.
Next, I would recommend that you start laser treatment at the same time and in conjunction with the hormone treatment. The hormones weaken the hair and make it much easier to get rid of. It is very important not to have hair on the face. In these days, laser treatment is easily accessible and very inexpensive.
Every case is different. Depending on your body type you may want to elect to have breast augmentation or a facial feminization first. This decision should be based on your particular face type. If you have masculine facial features I would elect to have a facial feminization procedure first. Based on experience, I would recommend that you do not do one piece at a time. In other words, save your money and have it all done at once. I started doing surgery one piece at a time. I would start with my nose or something else, use different doctors and in the end go back to and do it again with another doctor. I finally did a full facial feminization and was finally very pleased with the results. So I highly recommend that, although the facial feminization can be a little pricy, save your money and have it all done at once.
Don't shave your eyebrows: Eyebrows are very important and bring out your personality. Fake eyebrows are noticed immediately and can give you a very unnatural look.
DO NOT PUT SILICON IN YOUR FACE. I understand you want a dramatic change, you want full lips or whatever, but over time it can backfire on you. Gravity can have a bad impact on the end results. You have so many options today. You can use restyling and other products that you can have done inexpensively in a dermatologist office and it goes away in six to eight months. I understand that this means you will have to go back and have it done once a year but its better than being stuck with something you are unhappy with and again, it is not that expensive.
Perfect teeth are very important. Always do your cleaning. There are so many options to have a great smile including invisalign to bonding which can be very inexpensive and accessible to anyone. Your smile will make a big difference.
I personally have a fascination with perfect teeth but it is one of the first things a person will notice.
Keep your teeth as white as possible, it makes you look younger and more vibrant. DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR TEETH!
Healthy, good skin is VERY important. DO FACIALS! Clean skin is the secret to looking younger. I recommend microdermabrasion. I do this once a month, it is very important to me and not that expensive at all. It makes my skin smooth, beautiful and clear.
Too maintain beautiful healthy skin it is soooo important to remember to remove your makeup every single night before you go to bed. Trust me, it is easy to be lazy about this. To help cure the laziness just put the removal on the nightstand next to your bed. Make sure to always moisturize your skin. Keep your skin hydrated, you can use any brand but I prefer Shiseido as a moisturizer and La Mer for my eyes. It can be a little pricy but it is well worth it in the long run.
Do not do facial tattoo. I personal have never done this but I want to share my point of view. I like beauty, and I want to be sixty and still look gorgeous. I plan on doing lifting for the remainder of my life. . .LOL! So imagine, having tattooed eyebrows and having those tattoos lifted to my hairline. Not a pretty site.
In all honestly, makeup is the most misunderstood too of all. It can make you look like a goddess if you know how to use it, or it can destroy you when used improperly (this is true with genetic girls as well). When I started my transition I didn't know a thing about applying makeup. I was lucky enough to have a friend who taught me a few tricks. I also was very inquisitive and was not afraid to ask other girls their opinions.
I think this is a very important issue to point out. Please, do not be afraid to ask people for their help, ideas and opinions. For me, I have never been afraid to ask. I would look and learn, I am blessed to be a fast learner. When I set my mind to something, I get it.
I would observe and practice what I saw until I was comfortable with doing it and it was the right application for me.
Then, thanks to my friend Christina, I finally discovered fake lashes. Oh God! Fake lashes, when applied the right way and with precission, will bring the Goddess out within you. I use fake lashes for every photo shoot and special occasions ONLY!
Don’t even try to guess which brand is the best, take it from me, stick with Shu Uemura.
As for makeup itself, I tend to stay with MAC. That is the only brand I use and am very happy. In my opinion hair for a transgender woman is very important and can make a big difference and critical to first impressions. Because I believe this I honestly spend a lot of time and money on my hair. When you see before pictures of me you will notice that I was a blond. I most people, I went through a phase and changed to a brunette. As you can see, now I am now back to being a blond and will die blond.
Once you find the right hair color that accentuates you face stay with it. You can add highlights and lowlights depending on the season with no problem. But going form black hair to a blond and back again will destroy your hair. You don't want that, I've been there and speak from experience.
If you don't have thick hair or volume you may want to consider using extensions. There are so many types and kinds of extensions today that it can be a difficult choice. I have used extensions for years and feel comfortable making some recommendations. I used the same type of extensions for years with no complaints. I use the kind with micro ring. I have recommended micro ring to many friends and they are all very happy with the results. Micro rings do not damage your hair at all.
I do not recommend, based on research and personal experience, the extensions with keratin, silicon, or any type of bonding. They can be very damaging to your hair. When you remove them you real hair comes out as well. You don't want this.
One last thing I want to add about hair extensions is that style is very important. It is not all about having long hair; it is about what looks good on you and makes you look classy. You don't just take it from the package, slap them on and call it good. You need to style them as well. I personally cut and style my hair after having extensions added. When you cut and style your extension, and blend it with your natural hair, you will look much more natural and classy. The nice thing about styling extensions is that you get "do overs". If you don't like the look, and depending on your budget, just remove them and start over until you find that right look for you. I personally like to have different looks, short, long, medium etc. I don't play with my color but the length is something I can change.
I would be wrong not to mention using wigs. I understand that different people have different genetics and some may have a residing hair line. As with everything else (can you imagine making this transformation a century ago) you can achieve anything with today’s advancements.
Wigs are no exception. There are crappy wigs and very good wigs that will make you look all natural and fabulous.
Front lace wigs are one of the best wigs on the market. They can be a little pricy. If you take care of it you can have it for a long time (as a side note, Beyonce uses this type of wig and, as you know, she looks wonderful).
I did my first breast augmentation after six months of hormone treatment. I was so excited! Because of the hormone treatment, I had some excess skin on my chest for the implants.
I made a decision to start with 350 cc’s and that was the happiest day of my life. This would be my first surgery (of many. . . LOL). Within a year I decided that I would go with a bigger size due to a couple of factors. First because of the first implant the skin over my original implants had stretched enough to support a bigger size and secondly, I was working on my body. I was working on my hips at the same time and needed to stay proportional. At this point I decided to put in 650 cc implant.
Of course I always wanted a perfect curvy Goddess body. I decided to go a little bigger after about two years. I decided to go BAMB! I went with 1,150 cc’s! I was filling out nicely below and wanted to stay proportional.
I want you to keep in mind that I was very young when I started my transition and as we all know, you can change your mind a lot in your late teens and early twenties. I finally decided to go with a look that would fit me perfectly and had one more surgery. Today I have 800 cc’s and I am very happy with the size. They are very soft, shapely and fit my body type perfectly.
I understand that many girls want to start off with the BAMB! Get the big boobs without any regard to the rest of the body. You must work on your hips and breast together and in conjunction with one another to stay proportional.
The most frequently asked question I receive is how to get the nice full body and curvy hips. My feature that is most talked about by both men and women is my booty. If you look at my before and after pictures you will see that I was very skinny and toned. Thanks to the silicon and Biopolimeros that all changed.
To make it clear, I did not do it all at once, I did it little by little until I finally had the result I was looking for. Now, in retrospect, I did it all wrong. I found an independent girl that injected silicon in me, I was lucky. She came to my house and injected my hips with the silicon in my clean living room. She used local anesthesia (same as Dentists use), I didn’t feel pain at all and it was over in a matter of two hours.
Again, I was very, very lucky because I was very happy with the results and had no bad side effects to this day.
I have been doing a lot of research. Here in the US silicone injections are illegal.
Keep in mind, there are a lot of different products available today. Some are illegal here but very much legal in other countries. For example; Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and others accept Biopolimeros, Metacril, and Biogel. I have been doing a lot of research and Biogel is the one I find with better reviews in South America.
To make it very clear, it doesn’t matter what they call it, any of the names mentioned above etc. It is still silicon and can be very toxic to your body. There is a reason that it is illegal here in the US. I know that you are sometimes desperate and want to hurry the transition along. Just remember, you have to live with your body for the rest of your life. Putting any kind of poison in it is obviously not good.
After my own injections I did ask about the side affects from an established doctor here in the US. He didn’t believe that I would develop any complications but that over time gravity would more than likely takeover.
The safest and surest way to go is using implants or fat injection. You will still get that look you are after but without the possible harm.
We will continue this discussion within the forum as well.
Once again I must stress that these are opinions based on my own experience and research. Don’t rely on my advice alone. This website is designed to open your eyes and give you a place to start. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! I am happy to help you research further just go to the coaching area.
Don’t do like I did! Don’t have someone come to your living room and do the procedure. Make sure you go to a facility that is designed to care for your well-being.
After about six months into my transition I met a beautiful girl from New York that was just knock dead gorgeous. We got to talking and the conversation lead to castration.
She looked so feminine and I wanted to know her secret. She told me that she was castrated and that she highly recommends it. She also said that the younger you are when you have the procedure the better your results will be.
I had the procedure when I was nineteen and have no regrets.
It was a very simple, painless procedure that didn’t take more than two hours. The recovery took less than a week.
Castration feminized me quite a bit. My features changed, my hair stopped growing and became much finer; my muscles shrank and all my hard male features became soft. My skin became very smooth and soft and I appear to have a special glow.
I highly recommend castration.
I am sure there are many questions here regarding my sexuality. This is a question you must answer for yourself. I still have full erections but I do not ejaculate as before. It all depends on what you like sexually.
Here I want to make a little note about reassignment surgery from my point of view.
Personally, I have no plans to have this surgery. I am very happy with my sexuality the way it is. I love my body from head to toe. I have close friends that have had the reassignment surgery, friends that are very open with me, that are very happy with the results. They are the same person as before.
I also have many friends where the surgery affected their personality greatly. They changed dramatically and struggle with the changes. They regret having the surgery.
My point is, be 100% sure and take all the time you need, do as much research as possible. Talk to girls that have went through with the surgery and get both points of view. Unlike a boob job, which you can enlarge, make smaller etc, this is permanent and no way back.
Ultimately all the answers are on you. I am happy to coach you regarding this decision and talk to you more about why I decided not to go forward with the procedure. Please check my coaching area for more information.
Like many girls, I was doing drugs when I was younger. I was hanging out with a group of friends that also wanted to engage in drug use. I personally liked prescription drugs like sleeping pills. I would also occasionally drink alcohol.
Because I am so vane, I noticed changes in my appearance and my mind. I did not like what I was seeing so I dropped my usage dramatically. I did continue to do drugs once in a while. Many times I would take sleeping pills even though I had no problem with sleeping, I just liked the buzz. Looking back I think I was using drugs because I was so bored. I was working, making good money, come home and feel like “I deserve to get high”. Of course I was just fooling myself. Life is precious, short and beautiful. You need to find that thing inside of you that makes you happy.
I started reading more books and had some experiences that lead me to where I am today. From bad experiences I learned something beautiful. Today I am 100% drug free and encourage you to do the same.
I understand that many girls going through transition may feel lonely, and some are “disowned” by their families. This is no excuse. You have to find inner peace; there is a solution for everything. Be grateful for everything you have. Be grateful you are no in a wheelchair or hooked up on life support.
I cannot tell you how many absolutely beautiful transsexuals I have seen destroyed by drugs. In my opinion, drugs are the biggest enemy for anybody but more so for transgenders.
I am not trying to preach, I am speaking from experience. I was there, I lived it and as I said, I saw people destroyed by it. If you would like to talk more about this subject, and possibly look for your inner self, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
Before you can even think about a serious relationship you have to love and respect yourself.
In my own experience, I need love around me. I like having a man in my life, I feel better and safe. Of course it cannot be just any man. I refuse to stay in an abusive relationship and I will not be with a control freak.
I have been in an abusive relationship before and believe me, you don’t want that in your life.
If you are in the middle of transition having someone in your life may not be in your best interest. Your love interest may have his or her own opinions on what you should do and how you should live your life, leading to poor decisions by you.
I want to share my own opinion and share with you an example. When you start your transition very young you have a lot of goals. You want to look beautiful, you want to work and pay for surgery. Sometimes a boyfriend can stand in the way of your goals. What I did was wait until I followed through with the transition and was happy with myself before I looked for someone to share love with.
I came to the US very, very young as a gay boy. My first night here I went to a gay club. The reason I came to the US is because I wanted to be a woman, I was 100% sure about that. There were two transsexuals at the club that shared a lot of advice and help. Now imagine if, as a young impressionable man in a brand new country, I met a beautiful and nice gay guy that I fell in love with. My life would be totally different today. I was very confident in what I wanted but unfortunately not everybody is clear about that.
Think about this, you may not be totally satisfied with your transition, you have bigger plans. You meet a man that you fall in love with that tells you he loves you just the way you are. Two, three years later your relationship ends, and you find out that you just lost those years.
There are a lot of great guys out there. Sometimes girls can say that “all guys are pigs” or something of that nature and it simply isn’t true. As a transgender you may have to look a little longer, or harder, but that special someone is out there.
Be patient, love yourself first, have confidence in yourself and everything will work out fine.
I probably am not the best person to talk about exercise. I was always working, using drugs, and basically being lazy. Once I started to find my inner self I took on a little exercise regimen.
I don't go crazy; I personally will just do some cardio once a day such as the treadmill or a two-mile walk along the beach.
I really, really enjoy this time because it is "me" time. It gives me a chance to meditate and think about plans and my future.
One thing I want to add about exercise it that I am not just talking about physical exercise. I am talking about mind and spiritual exercise as well. I have one routine that I go through every day to clean my mind.
Everyday I clean my mind and thoughts and remove the negative energy. This easy exercise will make dramatic changes in your life and I will be happy to share it with you.
You always hear about spirituality and meditation. I use to think these people were crazy and I was quick to jump to conclusions. But after reading and learning more about it I became very spiritual (and remember that spirituality is what you make it). This has put me in the happiest moment of my life.
I personally cannot believe how much I have changed. I don’t want to drink; I don’t have a need for drugs. This was my time to grow as a person. Maybe it is your time or maybe not but I think it is something you should explore without any pre-judgments. Never say no until you give it a try. All I can say is that it has worked for me in a big way.
I will share more on this subject in posts and the forums. This forum is a very important part of this website. This is your chance to share your experiences with others. You also have the opportunity to ask questions of other girls in transition that have different points of view. As you know, I share my point of view with you throughout this site but my opinions are not always right for everyone. Everyone has their own unique experiences and opinions and we all want to express our ideas.
Please do not abuse the forum. It is not for advertising! This is a chance for us all to pull our community closer together.
Have fun with my transgender forum!
